This curricular unit provides students with knowledge about the basic concepts and methods of economics and management of an agricultural company or an agribusiness.

Provide students with the tools of economic analysis at the level of production, consumption, markets and agricultural policies.
Provide students with a set of methods and techniques for planning, management and marketing and make them aware of their importance in decision-making and business development.
Build the capacity of: written and oral communication; management of economic and social information; analysis and synthesis of economic matters.
Develop the capacity for identifying and analyzing the main problems of the agro-forestry complex and propose policies to address them; detect the main bottlenecks for rural development; propose improvements in the planning and management of activities and agro-livestock enterprises; encourage the development and use of marketing plans and marketing of agricultural and livestock products.
