Learning Goals

With this curricular unit it is intended that the students know the different typologies of sources of scientific information as well as the instruments of localization and access to these sources.
It is intended that students conduct oriented research in databases, repositories and b-on, developing the ability to autonomously identify and use the information collected.
It is also intended that they develop the ability to analyze the structure of scientific articles.

1. Sources of information.
1.1. Typology of sources of information - primary sources and secondary sources
2. Bibliographic research.
3. Search in database.
3.1. Search Tools.
4. Analysis of scientific articles.
5. Standards A.P.A. for scientific articles - organization of quotations, references, pictures and figures.

Teaching Methods

The sessions will be predominantly of a practical nature, involving research, organization and analysis of scientific information, using repositories, databases and b-on, using computers and the Internet. Continuous evaluation will consist of choice (25%), critical analysis (50%) and oral presentation (25%) of an article of a scientific nature.
The evaluation by exam will consist of a practical test of selection of information relevant to a topic in databases (100%).
