Gramática: noun clauses; relative clauses; conditionals; adverbial clauses; connectors and focus structures.
Métodos de Ensino
(1) Avaliação contínua: a. teste escrito (35%); b. prova oral (25%) ; c. trabalhos realizados ao longo do semestre, em aula e em casa (40%).
(2) Exame: a. prova escrita (60%); b. prova oral (40%)
Avaliação
According to the Regulamento Escolar Interno da Universidade de Évora and the Regulamento de Avaliação de Conhecimentos as proposed by the Departamento de Linguística e Literaturas, students may choose between two modes of assessment: (1) continuous or (2) exam.
(1) Continuous assessment:
Students under continuous assessment will be graded in the following cases:
a. Written test (Frequência) (December, 2014): 35%
b. Oral production (October/ November/December, 2014): 25%
c. Assignments (throughout the semester, in and at home): 40%
IMPORTANT: Students are required to achieve grade 8,0 in the written test and oral production.
In-class and home assignments:
Assignments will cover oral production, written production, listening comprehension, spoken interaction and written interaction.
(2) Exam:
- Exam (normal):
Students who choose to sit a final exam will be assessed as follows:
* written exam: 60%
* oral exam: 40%
Date of exam (normal): January, 2015
Percentages of presences for assessment modes:
Continuous assessment: 80%
Exam (normal): 50%
Note: Students under ‘regimes especiais’ (REI, Art. 13º, nº 2) are exempted from the above mentioned percentages.
- Exam (recurso):
If the student fails/is not assessed under the continuous assessment or/and exam modes of evaluation, they may sit the ‘recurso’ exam being assessed as follows:
* written exam: 60%
* oral exam: 40%

Date of exam (especial): September, 2015
IMPORTANT: Students are required to achieve grade 8,0 in both written and oral exams (normal, recurso and especial).
