Learning Goals
The main objective of the curricular unit is to provide, at a postgraduate level, the theoretical and practical aspects of Public Policies and Environmental Legislation in the field of Agricultural Sciences, in particular, to familiarize students with the analysis, management and improvements of these, through reflection and in-depth understanding of the current reality of the rural world.
This CU should enable students to understand the importance of agricultural policy, the different ways of implementing it and understand the relationship between agricultural policy and the way in which rural areas are shaped and developed, as an instrument that conditions decision-making.
In addition to understanding the fundamental principles of EL, students will learn about the legal framework with an emphasis on thematic legislation in the areas of water, soil, waste, energy management and environmental impact assessment.
The aim is to train students to apply PP and specific EL to specific cases.

Teaching Methods
The teaching method used in this CU (e-learning) aims to promote students' autonomy and their ability to analyze and synthesize, as well as to expose them to different approaches and different points of view on Public Policies and Environmental Legislation in the field of Agricultural Sciences. The teaching is based on theoretical-practical classes (TP) and seminars (S), in which we will try to bring in experts on the subject. The synchronous moments will have an expository part and an interactive part, encouraging informed and constructive participation from students. To this end, a set of readings will be indicated for each synchronous moment. Students will have to delve deeper into topics provided by teachers, presenting in TP (synchronous distance learning) a critical analysis of the elements previously studied, also preparing written works on these topics.
Assessment
The evaluation will consist of 4 moments, 2 reflection and critical analysis of 2 themes provided by the teachers and submission of the reports provided. The minimum grade for any of the evaluation moments is 10 points. Evaluation: Final grade resulting from the weighted sum: Participation in discussion forums (10%), 2 discussions and critical analysis of 2 themes (30%) and reports of reports (60%). Two discussions and critical analyses of the themes have the same weight in the final grade. The two reports also have the same weight in final grade.
