Assessment

The assessment of the curricular unit is carried out through continuous evaluation, consisting of two components: (i) the preparation of a literature review, in the form of a book chapter, as a group assignment (5?6 students); and (ii) an individual oral presentation and defense of the work.
The weighting of the continuous assessment components is as follows:
Component 1 ? Written work (group, 5?6 members): 60%
Component 2 ? Oral presentation of the work (individual): 40%
Each component is graded on a scale from 0 to 20 points. The final grade for the curricular unit is the weighted average of the two components. A student is considered to have passed if the final grade is equal to or higher than 9.5 points.
Students who do not pass through continuous assessment are subject to evaluation during the regular examination period and, if applicable, the resit period, in accordance with the Academic Regulations of the University of Évora and the current academic calendar. The assessment grids/rubrics will be provided to students and presented at the beginning of the curricular unit.
