Learning Goals

Objective:
To develop knowledge and understanding skills in Health Care in urgency and emergency.

Skills to be developed:
• Demonstrate a high level of understanding about Policies and Models and Ethical principles in Health Care in urgency and emergency.
• Demonstrate skills on the application of scientific evidence in clinical practice, specifically in the care of the person in urgent and
emergency.
• Demonstrate skills in the care of the person who requires transport by land, air and/or sea in situation of urgency and emergency.

-Module 1 - Policies and Models of Health Care in urgency and emergency
-Module 2 - Ethics in urgent and emergency care
-Module 3 - Evidence based practice in urgency and emergency
-Module 4 - Health care in transport of the person by land, air, and sea

Teaching Methods

Specific teaching-learning methodologies adopted: the unfolding method or the progressive case study and simulation.

Assessment

In the continuous assessment we consider using assessment methodologies supported by the use of scientific evidence that respond to the specific teaching-learning methodologies adopted: the unfolding method or the progressive case study and simulation. The assessment will be continuous individual with practical exercises developed in groups, based on real cases, at least 4 exercises, on which a weighted average will be made.
