Course Overview

The Postgraduate Program in Education Inspection was created in 2018 at the request of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, in response to a need for specialized training for inspectors and other educational agents. The course had a first edition in the 2017-2018 academic year and a second edition in 2023-2024, always in close coordination with the current MECCES ? Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Higher Education, which is reaffirmed in 2026-2027 with a new edition of this training offer, given the repeated need to promote and consolidate the specialization of education inspectors, with a view to fulfilling the duties of Educational Inspection in São Tomé and Príncipe.

This course aims to provide the development of specialized skills for the performance of tasks of monitoring, control, auditing, evaluation and supervision of educational establishments, ensuring an innovative, rigorous and effective intervention in the daily routine of fiscal action. The study plan includes four mandatory curricular units from the Master's in Education Sciences - Administration and Regulation of Educational Policies (MARPE) and two elective units that can be chosen from an offer composed mainly of MARPE curricular units, creating a training pathway with this master's degree.
