Students at the end of learning should understand the different variables that condition the transmission and spread of diseases and pests and that they can be modeled in different ways in order to anticipate methodologies for controlling them. They should therefore be able to design different scenarios and work with databases, including geographic databases in the area of health sciences, and manipulate them from geographical and other information systems. They should still be able to understand and interpret the different data models, and reason about what information is pertinent to include in the flow of information between institutions, for the acquisition of knowledge and decision-making.

Teaching Methods
Theoretical exposition of concepts; Resolution of case studies within the classroom using the different tools, in the practical component; Theoretical-practical examination and practical work (realization of non-classroom case studies)
