Learning Goals

This curricular unit intends for students to acquire a fullest possible view of the problematic, positive and doctrinal, of "human rights". This view implies a critical and historical-genetic understanding of human rights, its diverse sources, concept, foundations, denials and affirmations, as well as historical models. In these terms, students should be in a position to carry out the complex cartography of the universe of rights, which has been spread around the world a little, either because of the opening of political regimes to the so-called globalization, or because of the extension of the rights of an individual vision towards a collective, if not even global, view of them. Finally, an objective of this curricular unit is to test the civilizational nature of consecrated human rights.
