This course is about concepts, tools, techniques and methods of management applied to the agribusiness firms in different functional areas (accounting and finances, production, quality and marketing). The aim is deepening the ways as decisions are taken and assessed in the agribusiness firms. Thus, pupils that have this curricular unit should develop the following skills:
Characterize and assess agribusiness firms activities from a technical and economic point view;
Analyze the firm structure and operation for assessing its financial and economic position;
Assess the market influence on sales and on firm activity and know the specificities of the marketing applied to the agribusiness sector;
Articulate the productive system and the organizational structure of the agribusiness firm, manage and control the agribusiness production;
Analyze the issues of quality management in the agribusiness chain, as well as conceive and manage agribusiness quality programs.

Teaching Methods
Exposing theoretical concepts and discussion of issues that show and deep theoretical knowledge and promote its practical application. Solving applied problems. The assessment includes a written test and an empirical essay with the same weight in the final classification.
