This course aims to provide a solid knowledge of the European Union, its institutional and political framework in the field of foreign policy and international security. The competences to be acquired are divided into four main areas:
- Understanding the European Union and International Security;
- Capacity to interpret the power of the European Union and its position in the world, with an approach focussed on international security;
- Development of methodological skills with practical applications for analysing real situations in the international context;
- Development of critical analysis and research skills.

Teaching Methods
Four pedagogical models are used in the methodological framework to consolidate the knowledge and enhance the motivation of learners:
Theoretical analysis;
Debates that take place in person and in digital spaces;
Exploring the course's subjects by reading and discussing scientific articles and official EU documents;
Autonomous study and research by the student, with the support of the teacher when necessary.
