Course Overview

The Master's degree in International Relations and European Studies is an interdisciplinary course, that aims to offer students an in-depth analysis of the main actors, structures and processes that shape global policy. Throughout the first year, the master's program addresses the main topics of International Relations and provides a solid theoretical knowledge for its analysis. A special emphasis is given on the study of the European Union as a political system and as an actor in a globalized world. The teaching methodology respects the balance between theoretical and practical dimensions of the disciplinary area of the course, in order to provide students with a diverse set of essential skills, both in academic as well as in professional terms. The second year is dedicated to the writing of the dissertation, allowing students to deepen their knowledge and apply their research skills in the field of International Relations and European Studies, in topics of their interests and scientific and professional aspirations.

Career Prospects

The holders of the Master in International Relations and European Studies gain a wide range of theoretical and practical skills that enable them to pursue a career in public and private sectors, including governmental departments, public administration, international governmental organisations (IGO), institutions and bodies of the European Union (EU), non-governmental organisations (NGOs), political parties, lobbygroups and international businesses. After completing their master's degree, the graduates are prepared to successfully pursue a wide variety of jobs that can also include diplomacy, consulting, teaching and research.

May apply for the MSc in International Relations and European Studies graduates in Social Sciences and Humanities, Law and Political Science and Economics.
