The internship with report is an alternative to the dissertation and takes place during the final year of the master's degree.
The aim of this curricular unit is to provide students with direct contact with practice in the area of exercise and health, in a professional context, following on from previous academic training and allowing them to deepen important skills as professionals.
Competences to be developed by the student:
- Ability to develop intervention programs for target populations, with or without pathologies identified at the training institution
- Apply assessment techniques and instruments appropriately and draw up individual reports on the users of the training institution.
- Apply the ethical and deontological principles specific to assessment processes and direct intervention with the various target audiences
- Communicate in written and oral form, in a structured, clear and conceptually appropriate manner the internship report.

Contents
Students must prepare their internship report in conjunction with their supervisors, on a topic of the student's choice, in the area of the master's degree, under the supervision of a doctoral lecturer. The work is carried out during the 3rd and 4th semesters of the course and involves public discussion before an academic jury. The content of the work varies according to the work plans proposed by each student.

Self-study with supervision from tutors (University of Évora and internship institution).
Tutorial sessions (supervision meetings) over the period for the thesis accomplishment.

Assessment
At the end of the year (4th semester), students should submit the final version of the internship report for public discussion and evaluation by a jury expressly appointed, in accordance with the regulations of the University of Évora.
