This course aims to provide doctoral students knowledge necessary for understanding and deepening the debate on the specific theoretical and methodological inter, multi and trans-disciplinary planning and evaluation of development projects and also make them aware the development of open-minded attitude in formulating the critical issues and projects in this area.
More specifically, the goals of the discipline of Project Planning and Evaluation are:
1. Examining concepts and conceptual and methodological analysis of inter, multi and trans-disciplinary and critical reflection about situations and problems;
2. Study and examine concepts and objectives of planning and evaluation of development projects;
3. Study and analyze the various stages of the process and strategies of Project Evaluation

Module 1: - Theoretical and Methodological Foundations of Planning (Planning Models and Paradigms; Vision Integrated Process Planning and Ideal Scenarios; Weaknesses inherent in the Planning Process)
Module 2 - The Planning and phased process, and intervention (Diagnostic Needs; Setting Goals and Establishing Priorities; Design and Action Planning; Intervention Models)
Module 3: - Systems Monitoring and Evaluation Project (Concepts and Purpose of Program Evaluation; The Planning Process Evaluation; Tracking Systems Programs and Projects; The Four Dimensions of the evaluation process (criteria, evidence, trial and strategies); Assessment Strategies; Project Evaluation: types, methodologies, tools; Capitalisation of Experiences: Case Studies)

Teaching Methods
The classes are essentially a matter of discussion forum focusing on this debate and all methods that allow and encourage the active participation of the students. Preference is given to learning sessions through presentations and psychosocial interaction methodologies (brainstorming and discussion forums), supported by audio-visual media, media bibliographic press clippings, and other electronic media, static and virtual. Approach aimed at strengthening the practical application of program content, develop some of the sessions under the collective workshop format (streamlined by invited experts)
The learning evaluation will be based on aspects: (1) Participation in the meetings, (2) Presentation of a work of practical application of theoretical knowledge.
