Teaching Methods
As this course is organized through tutorials, it will have a strong component of autonomous work by the student, focused on researching and systematizing the relevant information for writing the project. Tutorial time will guide students in their research, organizing ideas and writing the various sections of the thesis project. Tutoring will occur in person and at a distance; communication and information technologies will be used to monitor student progress whenever necessary. The coordination between the student's autonomous work and the tutoring sessions will facilitate the construction of well-founded, coherent, innovative, and feasible projects. The thesis project is based on the following structure: title, abstract, state of the art, objectives, detailed description (method) and timetable.
Assessment
An assessment committee carries out the evaluation. The committee comprises the PhD director, one of the members of the PhD program commission, two specialists and one scientific supervisor. The student's grade (continuous assessment or final exam) results from the weighting of the thesis project (70 %) and the public presentation (30 %).
