This curricular unit aims at the study of the research produced related to the musical performance practices. Students will be exposed to the most relevant research produced in the area of performance practice, being able to contextualize and clearly discuss their implications and results. Considering that musical interpretation is a core concept of all musical activity, it will also be approached and discussed to what extent the results of studies in musical performance apply to other areas of studies in music and musicology.
