Provide students with knowledge and understanding of the relationship between the social dimension in the health sector, the production of scientific knowledge and the organization of research activity. Equip students with knowledge and methodologies that enable them to participate in interdisciplinary research networks, preparing them for professional environments in cultural and scientific institutions
Contents
Health, State and Society. Science and Health in the 19th and 20th centuries. Hospital medicine and laboratory medicine. Formation and development of research schools and communities in the biomedical sciences. Networks of agents (individuals, groups and institutions) in research and health care. Prosopographic, scientometric and social network analysis methodologies.
Teaching Methods
Teaching / learning methods: discussion of texts, case studies, integration of scientific activities CEHFCi. Evaluation: Oral presentation and discussion of a proposed topic, delivery of a written assignment in the form of a paper, after discussion and revision.
