Sustainable Development Goals
Learning Goals
Acquire knowledge and skills for assessing and intervening with individuals undergoing renal replacement therapy ? haemodialysis.
- Knowledge of renal anatomy and physiology and pathology
- Knowledge of Haemodialysis Technology
- Identify aspects of assessment and intervention in venous access management
- Perform punctures on different venous accesses in simulation models
- Identify the intervention for acute complications that may occur during the haemodialysis session: hypotension, cramps, allergic reactions or arrhythmias
- Develop an individualised care plan.

Teaching Methods
The expository and interactive method allows for the review of theoretical content, contributing to the knowledge necessary for diagnostic assessment and intervention. The videos allow you to visualise the intervention using the necessary equipment.
The presentation of clinical cases, discussion, resolution and reflection. Case-based learning (CBL) allows for the development of critical thinking and clinical reasoning.
Clinical simulation training allows for the acquisition and development of diagnostic assessment and intervention skills in people with renal failure undergoing haemodialysis therapy.
