Course Overview

The ?Introduction to Videoart? course aims to provide basic knowledge about creating, editing, exporting and putting digital moving images online, by learning basic multimedia artistic concepts and techniques. The basic function of communication, which characterises, expresses and determines art in general, is highlighted here through its relationship with digital multimedia technology with concerns for citizenship and sustainability. The course consists of laboratory practice workshops that provide basic skills for the multimedia combination of moving images, photographs, texts and drawings, among others, in digital form. Throughout the course, using methodologies, techniques and teaching resources, practical exercises will be presented with a view to solving concrete problems in the field of experimental, exploratory and creative videoart.
