To provide students with knowledge about:

- animal welfare assessment
- technologies for real time measuring indicators and animal welfare monitoring
Students will be able to assess animal welfare conditions on livestock farms, objectively and in real time.
They will acquire some specific technical skills regarding the assessment of animal welfare and transversal skills regarding the presentation of assessment models in different contexts

Contents

Definition of animal welfare. Animal welfare indicators. Assessment of Animal Welfare Monitoring and Control of Animal Welfare using digital technologies.

Teaching Methods

Theoretical-practical classes: expositive method, active methodologies and collaborative work. Seminars: experts will be invited on certain subjects to allow the deepening of some subjects.

Assessment

As a way of assessing whether students understood the theoretical and practical aspects, assessment through practical application work, done in group.
