Objective:
To train trainees in first aid.

Contents

First aid in different environments (home, work, street, others);
People suffering from convulsions, burns, fractures, poisoning, drowning, road accidents, hypoglycaemia, alcoholism, etc.

Teaching Methods

Priority will be given to methodologies that stimulate the personal and professional development of trainees, based on work by the trainer and the trainee that develops clinical reasoning. Training in practical competences and skills, based on simulation as a teaching-learning strategy, allows trainees to learn through experience, i.e. by doing and repeating as many times as necessary until they make no mistakes. It also promotes personal safety.

Assessment

The assessment method is continuous assessment. As this is a b-learning course, there will be online sessions (4 hours) and face-to-face sessions (6 hours). Attendance at 100 per cent of the contact hours is compulsory to complete the course.
