Course Overview

The proposal to create the Peritoneal Dialysis: Empowerment for Self-Care course arises in the context of the development of the strategy for the health area, namely the empowerment of the person for self-care. People with chronic renal failure are a reality in the Alentejo. With the patient's quality of life and safety in mind, there is a need for
professionals with adequate training to enable them to manage care at home, preventing
complications arising from inadequate handling and promoting safe adherence to the therapeutic regime.
