The study plan of this degree develops, in a balanced and plural form, the scientific components of the disciplinary areas of Linguistics and Literature, with a component of Culture directly linked to these, to which the Arts and Tourism are associated. This fact allows students in this cycle of studies to make an enriching interdisciplinary path. With a common broadband trunk in the 1st year, starting in the 2nd year, the option for alternative languages and tourism profiles; Literature and Arts; Portuguese and English, Portuguese and Spanish as well as Portuguese and French enable the development of learning in more specific areas of knowledge. The initial training of this cycle of studies, on a solid basis, can be complemented with the pursuit of postgraduate studies in the scope of master's and doctoral degrees, in Linguistics or Literature, or in other areas of Social and Human Sciences.
Focused on areas traditionally established in the field of Humanities, the course aims to provide the acquisition and development of knowledge in language, linguistics, literature and culture, as well as in areas that establish complementary relationships with them that are demonstrably productive, allowing understanding of the interdisciplinarity of knowledge, broadening cultural horizons that enhance new and diversified approaches, with adaptation to a labor market in constant mutation.
