Psychomotor Rehabilitation

Bachelor's Degree

Ano Letivo 2022/2023

Course Overview

This degree course provides comprehensive training, incorporating knowledge from different branches (Human Kinetics, Social Sciences, Medical Sciences, Education Sciences) and training students in psychomotricity, adapted physical activity and social and functional autonomy.

The study plan provides a holistic view of a person, where psychomotricity incorporates cognitive, emotional, sensory, motor and symbolic interactions expressed in the development of the individual, their interaction with others and with the surrounding environment.

With a strong theoretical and practical component, this course helps students acquire and master the different techniques for assessment and psychomotor intervention (e.g. relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, horse therapy) and to develop therapeutic attitudes and skills and ethical conduct.

Student learning culminates in supervised psychomotor practice, in partnership with external institutions, bringing students closer to the job market in the final year of the course.
