Presentation
This UC intends that students understand the health communication processes and develop communication skills inherent in a client-centered pharmaceutical practice.

Contents
Communication:
The pragmatics of communication. "Behavior is communication, or the impossibility of not communicating"; Communication process; Relationship as the subject of communicative practice
Communication in health:
The importance of health communication; Purposes and contexts of health communication; Health information; Changing and promoting healthy behaviors; Risk communication and adherence to preventive behaviors; The relationship of health technicians with users and adherence to health care
Communication in pharmaceutical practice:
The place of communication in a client-centered pharmaceutical practice; The interpersonal communication skills inherent to the pharmaceutical practice in its different dimensions; Communication with specific groups (the elderly; chronic patients and patients with severe pathologies; patients with specific needs); Competencies inherent in interprofessional communication; The person of the pharmacist and his way of being and communicating.

Teaching Methods
We intend to use active methodologies: to build knowledge and to develop interpersonal/interprofessional communication skills for the future pharmacist.
Classes will be organized: carrying out fieldwork focused on the observation of communication situations; carrying out research work on the dimensions of the communication in health; carrying out activities to develop communication skills; moments of reflection about the developed activities

Assessment
Continuous assessment is done through all activities carried out throughout the semester, with emphasis on the realization of:
- research and reflection work about an aspect of health communication (in groups) and to be discussed in (50%)
- role-play exercise of a situation of communication and a written reflection about it (50%)
In the final evaluation it is necessary to:
- carry out a role-play and make a written reflection on it (50%)
- realization of an individual work on a topic within the scope of the CU, indicated by the teacher (50%).
