This Integrated Master´s degree is a unique course when it comes to teaching architecture in Portugal. It offers a multidisciplinary study environment, combines theory with practical application and research, and fosters an ‘atelier’ culture, where students and faculty work together on design proposals. The Master degree course is recognised for its innovative approach to teaching architecture, the students of which have been awarded prizes, such as the Secil Prize, prizes awarded by the Lisbon Architecture Triennale Award, and other awards from different international competitions.
After successfully completing the first-cycle of studies, students are awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Culture. This level of education does not allow students to become fully-fledged architects, but it does provide significant preparation for carrying out work linked to architectural production.
