Goals:
The course aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge to understand information technologies and systems and organizational knowledge; Acquire knowledge in terms of information technology infrastructures, organizational and business knowledge management and organizational information systems tools.
The fundamental objectives are to allow the graduate to acquire the necessary knowledge to think of the organization as an organizational information system, analyze the potential of information technologies for the improvement of organizational knowledge and business processes.
Skills:
The knowledge acquired in this course will allow the development of the following skills:
- Improving the understanding of information and digital technologies in an organisational context;
- Knowledge of business information systems tools;
- ability to plan information system

Teaching Methods
The teaching sessions are of a face-to-face theoretical-practical nature, using the following teaching-learning methodologies:
• Expository, framing of topics and ontological construction of language associated with this specific area of learning.
• Participatory, through the promotion of dialogue, exposition of ideas and opinions.
• Active, with exercises and case studies, discussion and oral presentation and other activities in the classroom.
• Engaging, with contact with technologies and information systems and support tools, but also with managers and professionals in the area.
The work in the classroom will involve thematic seminars and round tables (in this case with the support of digital communication platforms, to facilitate the participation of professionals), indicative readings and analysis of the texts, construction of a collective glossary and application of knowledge through quizzes, case studies and exercises.
